President and Founder
How We Started
In 1980, Craig Thompson founded Thompson Electronics Company to provide commercial electronic system expertise in Illinois. We started and continue today as a relationship-based company that strives to build and maintain connections with our customers. Our custom solutions and designs are based on each facility’s unique characteristics, and each system is professionally installed by certified and factory-trained technicians.

While specializing in design, project management, and installation of electronic systems, our main mission is to provide quality system solutions for our customers. All fire alarm services and inspections are performed by IBEW union Fire Alarm Systems Inspectors. All our technicians have professional training and certification in testing, inspections, Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA), Building Reports, and extensive on-the-job experience.
