Apartment Fire Alarm System Installation

Decatur Housing Authority has three high-rise buildings dedicated specifically for elderly or disabled persons.

• The Concord High-rise is a 6 story building with 87 apartments.
• The Lexington High-rise is a 6 story building with 103 apartments.
• The Hartford High-rise is a 5 story building with 58 apartments.

The systems installed in each building are Edwards EST 3 Fire Alarm Systems with Signature Series Addressable Smoke detectors, and Genesis Horn/strobe Signals. Each apartment has a system-type smoke detector with an audible base that activates like a standalone smoke detector, alerting the resident. However, the Decatur Housing Authority staff can be alerted also via an LCD Display indicating which resident apartment may need attention.
