Business Development – Electronics Systems
Thompson Electronics Company (TEC) has been a leading electronic systems integrator in the state of Illinois for over 40 years. We are searching for a high energy candidate to assist our customers and prospects in purchasing systems solutions for their buildings. We provide Audio/Visual, Fire and Life Safety, Communications and Security systems to commercial customers in Illinois. We have thousands of existing customers and opportunities but are growing rapidly and need your help.
You would meet with existing and potential customers including owners, building managers and contractors on a regular basis to assist them with choosing the best solution. You would focus on specific business segment such as healthcare, education or industrial to determine areas of interest and then arrange a visit from a TEC sales specialist. Work includes setting up meetings for our sales specialist to do onsite technical surveys, system design, selection of system components, preparation and presentation of formal proposals for the purpose of closing the sale.
Your territory will be based out of our Naperville office covering northern Illinois from Indiana to Iowa borders. You will be supported by a team of sales specialists, project managers, engineers, Network programmers and electronics technicians. Those that wish to move into a sales specialist or technical role will have the opportunity to do so.
