Naperville Branch Manager
Ray joined Thompson Electronics Company in 2023 as the Naperville Branch Manager. He is a licensed Supervising and Master Electrician with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in all electrical systems including fire alarms.
Before starting with Thompson Electronics, Ray’s titles have included Estimator, Project Manager, Sales Representative, and VP of a nationwide electrical company in the Chicagoland area.
Ray’s focus, together with his team, is to expand and build our customer footprint and to provide the best quality service in this industry.
Outside of work, Ray spends time with my wife and 2 Shih Tzus. He enjoys going on nature walks with them and reading books about history. Both his son and daughter recently married which welcomed a new daughter-in-law and son-in-law into their family. Ray hopes to become a grandfather in the near future and looks forward to the days of playing with grandchildren.
What I am working on
I am working on the expansion of the Naperville office in order to bring Thompson Electronics expertise to the Northern part of Illinois.
What I'm passionate about
I take great pride in mentoring new young technicians, watching them learn and grow in the industry. It’s rewarding to know that, through their development, they’re able to provide excellent service to our customers.
Industry trends
From my perspective, with more employees working remotely in hybrid roles, cybersecurity has become a significant concern. As a branch manager, I make an effort to stay connected with our team by increasing phone communication to ensure everyone is supported.
