Service Manager

Mara McDonough serves as the Service Manager at TEC, having joined the team in 2024. With over 24 years of leadership and operational expertise, she excels in managing high-performing teams, driving efficiency, and implementing continuous improvements in service delivery. Mara is dedicated to enhancing service management, optimizing customer satisfaction, and refining processes to exceed expectations.

Mara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and has plans to pursue a Master’s degree in the near future. Throughout her career, she has successfully introduced process improvements that have boosted service efficiency, led teams to consistently surpass customer expectations, and utilized technology to streamline service operations.

Her goals are focused on further refining service strategies, fostering team collaboration, and improving the overall customer experience. Mara finds great fulfillment in solving complex challenges, mentoring her team, and contributing to the company’s growth.

Outside of work, Mara enjoys event planning, attending concerts, and staying active within her community. She is also passionate about family, leadership development, and staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.

What I am working on

I am currently focused on optimizing service operations at Thompson Electronics to enhance efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and streamline processes. This includes overseeing service workflows, implementing best practices, and ensuring our team delivers high-quality support for AV/IT, fire alarms, security systems and more.

What I'm passionate about

I have a deep passion for AV/IT, and most recently have started learning about fire alarm systems, and security technologies. I enjoy working with innovative solutions that enhance safety, communication, and operational efficiency. I thrive in environments where I can leverage my technical expertise, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement.

There are a lot of things to learn, and right now, I am learning more each day.  I am passionate about keeping up with all of the constant changes and look forward to implementing them.
