Katie Dunn
Director of Business Development – Education
Katie Dunn joined TEC in early 2023 as the Director of Business Development for Education. She attended Illinois State University where she studied elementary education. Katie joined us with 10 years of industry experience and has managed many school accounts across the state. She has always had a passion for working in the education sector.
Katie has also worked very closely with the Illinois Firefighters Association. In 2019, she was named Honorary Fire Chief for her dedication to the fire service. She has also served on the board for the 9/11 memorial stair climb.
Before joining Thompson Electronics, Katie was a Marketing Manager who worked with the National Education Association Member Benefits. There she focused on developing relationships with schools throughout Illinois. She is excited to be working with schools again
and is very passionate about keeping our schools safe.
Outside of work, Katie’s hobbies include traveling with her daughter Addilyn and attending live music events. She enjoys boating, camping, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.
What I am working on
I am working on building lasting relationships with schools throughout Illinois. My focus is to educate schools on how Thompson Electronics can provide solutions to their everyday challenges.

I am passionate about helping make our schools a safer place and providing AV and technology solutions that enhance student learning.
