Craig Thompson

Craig Thompson is the President of Thompson Electronics Company located in Peoria and Naperville, Illinois. He has a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Bradley University. In addition, he has over 40 hours of business education in pursuit of an MBA. Craig has been in the electronics systems industry since 1973. Upon graduation from BU, he was the operations manager and vice president of a small business before starting Thompson Electronics Company in 1980. He built Thompson Electronics as a solutions provider for security, communications, audiovisual, and fire alarm systems for industrial, government, education, healthcare, and religious markets.

Craig has been involved in professional memberships in the Audio Engineering Society, NFPA, and the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers for many years. He has been on the leadership team of the NSCA, an industry association that included the Office of President.

Craig’s current focus is supporting the Thompson Team, building experts to solve customer needs. He believes in encouraging his employees to grow their skills and knowledge in order to be industry leaders in their chosen field. Craig believes his customers need to know that Thompson Electronics can provide solutions with competence and excellence.
