Kindra Vonbehren

Director of Business Development – Healthcare

Kindra Vonbehren joined TEC in 2022 as the Director of Business Development for Healthcare. She first attended Illinois Valley Community College and then transferred to graduate from Illinois State University where she studied elementary education. But instead of teaching, she started a career in the skilled nursing industry.

Kindra has an abundance of skills relating to the healthcare field. She has 14 years of experience in the industry and managing hospital accounts throughout Central Illinois. In 2014 Kindra began her career at HCR Manor Care as the Director of Admissions. Shortly after in 2016, she was promoted to Hospital Account Manager/Hospital Liaison. She was selected as a leader of the division and appointed to serve on the hospital liaison onboarding committee in Toledo, Ohio, where she helped implement an onboarding process for hospital liaisons company-wide.

Throughout Kindra’s career, she has served as the McLean County Senior Care Network President and was nominated for the Illinois Healthcare Association Administrator’s Choice Award. She has made appearances on the WHOI television program “Good Company” with journalists Mark Whelp and Gretchen Wirtz Primeau to educate the general public on preventive care and the healthcare industry. 

Before joining Thompson Electronics, Kindra was the Director of Business Development at Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing. There she focused on developing relationships with referral sources and managed hospital accounts in Central Illinois and became CMS COVID certified.

Outside of work, Kindra’s hobbies include spending time with her husband Ken, son Peyton, Irish Goldendoodle Bingo, and their nephews. She enjoys going on family camping trips and watching her son grow up.
