Job Description
Thompson Electronics has been selling Audiovisual systems for over 40 years in Illinois. We need a high energy candidate to assist our customers and prospects in purchasing the right Audiovisual technology system for their facility. We have hundreds of existing customers and opportunities.
You would meet with customers, engineering design professionals, building managers, municipal authorities and contractors on a regular basis and assist them in designing, specifying and purchasing the best solution. You would be part of a top notch team of Audiovisual professionals to design, program, install and service these systems.
Sales territory will be northern Illinois from Indiana to Iowa excluding downtown Chicago area. You will be supported by a team of project managers, engineers, programmers and electronics technicians.
The successful candidate will have:
- Five years of successful Audiovisual sales experience
- Bachelor degree – technical or business
- Knowledge of Audiovisual technology systems with design experience
- AVIXA CTS certification (preferred)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
Preference will be given to those that have AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D and past Audiovisual sales experience. Other pertinent certifications will be reviewed.

Pay: From $70,200.00 per year
