I ran this is 2001 (and I assume that you meant the winning time is about 2:50

)
Yes, there are hills and most of them come between miles 15 and 25; there is one lung buster right at mile 16.
The course: very pretty; farmlands, lake views, forest like areas, and the last 1.25 miles are on a lake trail (off road).
Personally: I loved it; however some of the aid stations are not staffed (you and some cups and a couple of jugs) and those who want lots of tender loving care will be disappointed; it has the feel of a low key "fat-ass" type of race.
The course is marked on the pavement but you need to pay attention.
Those who want bands, crowds cheering for them, aid every 800 meters, etc. should stay away.
Another note: there is a walk that starts 3 hours prior to the regular start.
My race: I ran 3:40 on that course; that was about 8 weeks after finishing the Delevan half in 1:37.
